Ember Inns are a chain of nearly 200 local pubs that are working hard to help a national cause - a future free from breast cancer.
Our single largest corporate fundraiser, in the last five years Ember Inns & Taverns has raised over £200,000 for Against Breast Cancer with their 'Drink Pink' campaigns.
Ember Inns specialise in creating and maintaining perfect pubs, restaurants and bars for grown-ups and we've certainly had some big names supporting these campaigns over the last few years, including Ben Shephard, Duncan Bannatyne, Greg Rusedski and celebrity chef Ross Burden.
This imaginative pub chain has devised lots of different drink-based schemes to raise funds, including designing their own pink cocktails and mocktails and donating 5p from the sale of rosé wine. Another innovation has been to enlist the support of their brewers in developing dedicated beers for the occasion, including Thirsty Dragon by Greene King and Lily the Pink by Wadworth.
Positioning their establishments as true community assets, their dedication to fundraising has seen several Ember Inns pubs presented with 'Heart of the Community' awards.
We really enjoy working with Ember Inns. Their passion and flair for innovation makes this a pleasurable partnership. We're happy to thank them for all their efforts in 2010 and for choosing to support us again in 2011. Watch this space for further details of a new format campaign next year.
