Cottsway Housing Association Ltd manage over 3,600 homes. They've also found time to support our work to seek a vaccine against breast cancer.
The largest local Registered Social Landlord (RSL) in the district, Cottsway have been helping West Oxfordshire District Council's tenants since March 2001, and provide a valuable public service in assisting leaseholders and part-owners living in shared ownership schemes.
Cottsway's mission statement, 'Better Homes, Better Services, Better Quality of Life' reflects their passion to meet the needs of both their tenants, and support the local communities in which they live. This passion is ably reflected in their support for Against Breast Cancer, their nominated charity of the year.
Over the last few months, Cottsway have flown the flag for Against Breast Cancer at many events in Oxfordshire, such as the Wychwood Forest Fair, Carterton Celebrates and Eynsham Apple Day. Cottsway have already raised over £2,000 for Against Breast Cancer and will be turning out in numbers at the Witney Splash of Pink Day, a key date in our fundraising calendar.
Their efforts are not confined to dry land. Michelle Badrick, Head of Corporate Services at Cottsway and her indefatigable fundraisers even took to the water, entering a team in the Abingdon Dragon Boat racing event. Their internal fundraising events have also contributed to our fighting fund to seek a cure for breast cancer.
Michelle and her team were inspired to help our work when one of their own team was diagnosed with breast cancer, and being based in Witney, where Against Breast Cancer have such a high public profile, meant that it was a relationship that met Cottway's agenda to positively affect their local communities and the people who live in them.
We are pleased to be associated with Cottsway and look forward to working with them again in the future.
