Don't be shy

Start with your friends, they may work for or know people at local companies who are looking for opportunities to get involved, and never underestimate the power of a personal introduction!

Try talking to establishments where you are already a customer. Hairdressers or restaurants look for opportunities to build their profile in the community; they may say no, but they won't want to risk offending you.

Be prepared to answer questions about Against Breast Cancer and remind them that prizes donated will be recognise by using the phrase 'Supported by' or 'Prize donated by'.

Remember to thank all your supporters, tell them how much you raised. If they feel appreciated they may want to get involved next time!
