The Andy Gray and Gary McAllister Golf Classic at Celtic Manor Resort

Following the day's golf (without rain!) I was invited to attend a delicious dinner with wine followed by fabulous entertainment after which, if you had the energy, you could dance into the early hours of the morning! Of course the main priority of this event was to raise money for Against Breast Cancer - which is just what happened, with the auction alone raising over £24,500! Everyone was incredibly generous with their bids and in return received some wonderful prizes.

We have not heard yet how much the final amount raised was but I am told that it should be in the region of a wonderful £60,000.

Our thanks go to Westbridge Foods who sponsored the whole event, to Andy Gray (sorely missed on the night due to work commitments), Gary McAllister, Peter McNeil, Lynn Morgan, Sara Barnard and Rachel Weaver for their hard work in attracting a great group of people whose intention was to give as much as they could in both time and money for our research.
