Hit the road ... JACK's Against Breast Cancer

Perhaps it's because the staff at JACK FM have been touched by cancer in the worst possible way. In July, one of their most-loved presenters and colleagues, Ali Booker, succumbed to a long battle with breast cancer. She went down fighting, and her Cancer Diaries made for gripping listening. They rightly won a Silver Sony award, and the prestigious Special programme of the Year at the Arqiva awards.

Even before Ali was ill, JACK FM worked tirelessly to promote the work of Sobell House, a local hospice, and have helped to raise awareness of their good work - and many thousands of pounds to make sure they're able to carry on doing it.

So maybe that's why they're so keen to work with Against Breast Cancer, a charity that works just as hard for a day when breast cancer is no longer a threat - a day when our children can be vaccinated against breast cancer, the disease that took their friend and helps to fill the hospice.

JACK FM's Roadies are busy handing out lots of Against Breast Cancer-branded promotional items, and will be working with us to make their listeners more 'breast aware' through a number of dedicated podcasts and broadcasts. Their distinctive pink mini carries our logo, and the staff share our vision for a future free from breast cancer.
