ECommerce Manager
Against Breast Cancer are a small charity based in Abingdon who raise vital funds for research into secondary spread breast cancer.
An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (3 days a week) Ecommerce Manager to join our Retail Team. This role has huge scope/opportunity to develop for the right candidate.
As Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for driving Ecommerce sales & margin performance, plus taking control of development and implementation of the trading and promotional strategy. This is a crucial role in the future of the charity as we continue on our fantastic journey.
- You will need a minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant roles such as: ecommerce trading, online marketing, online merchandising
- You should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing eCommerce platforms and marketplaces such as Big Commerce, Shopify, eBay and Amazon
- You should have a good basic understanding of SEO and Google Analytics in relation to eCommerce.
As Ecommerce Manager you will be responsible for-
- Big-commerce, Ebay, DePop, Amazon, Etsy & pop up shops when available.
- Being the main point of contact for the Charity’s retail arm.
- Driving growth in sales through developing partnerships and relationships with all internal & external stakeholders.
- The procurement of merchandise and materials.
- Designing & market researching new merchandise for the shop, liaising with suppliers & designers & ensure new products are in line with the brand.
- Devising the look, feel and content of our ecommerce marketplaces.
- Helping establish and maintain a robust online customer service and feedback mechanism.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining a stock sourcing, storage, processing and dispatch system.
- Looking at new ways to grow the retail department
- The marketing strategy to include social media and magazine marketing.
- Collating stock, photographing and preparing them for online sale.
- Overseeing the process of online orders from enquiry to dispatch and delivery.
- Overseeing the research on Ebay and DePop items to ensure optimal pricing, listing and descriptions.
- Researching merchandise items to ensure optimal pricing, listing and descriptions.
- Adding new products across all E-commerce and removing out of stock items.
- Managing and growing eBay and DePop store including securing donations to sell.
- Looking after passive fundraising streams including Amazon Smile, Ziffit, Cards for Good Causes & Music Magpie.
- Monitoring budget.
- Ensuring a close eye on competition is maintained and performing relevant market analysis to formalise learnings and plans for the future.
- Communicating relevant performance insights, analysis and information to the wider trading & marketing teams.
- Developing and delivering the trading and promotional strategy for ecommerce websites you will have ownership over; working closely with teams including Finance & Marketing.
- Management of off-site storage and overseeing all stock control.
- Experience managing a small team
- Working with, supervising and developing retail volunteers, providing them with on the job training of tasks.

Salary Circa; £22,000 to £26,000 pro rata dependant on experience.
Volunteer Online Marketplace Listing Assistant - Office based
Against Breast Cancer are a small charity based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire who raise vital funds for research into secondary spread breast cancer.
The role:
Are you good at photography, reasonably tech-savvy and know your way around marketplaces like eBay and Depop? If so, Against Breast Cancer have a great volunteering opportunity for you!
We have a successful and growing online sales channel via eBay and DePop, where we sell a whole of range of items that are donated to Against Breast Cancer including new bras, clothes and gifts. These sales help us to raise valuable funds towards our cause.
Due to a big increase in the number of donations, we now have an exciting opportunity for an additional listing assistant to join our team, on a voluntary basis.
You will have some photography experience and understanding of lighting and optimising images. Training and ongoing support will be given, however familiarity with online selling channels would be an advantage. You will work within a team responsible for retail.
This is a fantastic position for anyone wishing to gain valuable experience, help make a difference and can be added to your CV. Typical tasks include: –
- Taking detailed photos of items to sell on eBay and Depop
- Manipulating and cropping photos
- Uploading Photos to our specialised listing programmes
- Creating listings for eBay and Depop
- Working as a valued member of the team
Skills Required:
- Photography experience
- Photo editing software experience
- Good PC and Internet Skills
- Some experience of using eBay and/or DePop
- Flexible
- Ability to work in a team
Flexible Working Options Available:
- Part-time – between 4- 8 hours per week on a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday in our HQ in Abingdon, OX14.
