Not everyone finds it easy to get to their local charity shop
Every year in the UK about 1.5 million tonnes of unwanted clothing ends up in landfill sites. By partnering with the Recycling Clothes Company we're helping to reduce this figure by promoting their clothes collection and recycling service for which they're supporting our research by donating £75 for every tonne they collect.
"In it's first year this scheme has raised enough to pay for the storage costs of the thousands of serum and urine samples we have in deep freezers for a whole year"
How it works
If you receive a plastic bag like the one above through your letterbox you can be assured that you are helping to support our dedicated research to improve detection and survival.
All you need to do is put any old clothing you no longer require into the sack contained within the pack and leave it outside on your doorstep. There's no need for you to do anything else, the Recycling Clothes Company will collect the bags 4 days after delivery. If you do not wish to participate, please help us to avoid unnecessary waste by putting out the unopened bag for collection.
Other ways to recycle for research
We all care for our environment and it needn't be exclusive, within this section of our site you can find out how recycling your old printer cartridges, mobile phones, bras and even by planting trees you can raise the vital funds needed to support our dedicated research to improve detection and survival.
