Bannatyne's a Thirsty Dragon When it Comes to Charity
He's made a name for himself as a Dragon in the business world, but now Duncan Bannatyne is lending his name to a different cause - with the launch of the 'Thirsty Dragon' ale in aid of Against Breast Cancer.
The light ale will join a line-up of ten other pink drinks during Ember Inns Drink Pink Campaign to raise money for the breast cancer charity - with a donation from every pink drink sold going towards the £60,000 target.
From 24 May - 19 June guests can turn the tables on Duncan and put his tipple to the test at their local Ember Inns pub.
Well known entrepreneur and Dragon, Duncan Bannatyne, said: "I'm happy that, in its fifth year, the Drink Pink campaign is aiming to top last year's fundraising success of £50,000. Funds will be donated towards the valuable research work the charity is doing to find a vaccine against the disease. But I'm going to get some stick from my wife Jo and kids for turning into a 'Thirsty Dragon' during June!"
Stephanie Wright, marketing manager for Ember Inns, said: "We're thrilled to have Duncan's support for our Drink Pink campaign this year. While £60,000 is an ambitious target to reach, we're confident that, backed by the 5p donations from our range of other pink drinks, the Thirsty Dragon will make it a roaring success!"
Ember Inn's guests can also enter a prize draw to win some fantastic prizes including a two night stay in the Château des Vigiers, a Golf and Country Club in France, a 42" plasma, an Apple iPod Touch, hospitality at Wimbledon for two on 26 June and a pair of tickets to a Live X Factor show. Pin badges and pens will also be on sale for a donation throughout the campaign with all proceeds going to Against Breast Cancer.
The tantalising pink tipples in the Drink Pink range include:

- The Soft Pink: Cracker Apple Strawberry and Mountain Cranberry
- Tickled Pink: J2O Apple & Raspberry
- Pretty in Pink: 50ml Smirnoff Vodka, Pomegranate and Raspberry cordial with soda or lemonade
- Pink Splash: 25ml Bacardi Superior rum, 25ml Martini Bianco with Cracker Apple, Strawberry and Mountain Cranberry

Research shows that one in nine women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Against Breast Cancer conducts ongoing research work into breast cancer secondary spread, with the aim of increasing survival after treatment through research into diet and lifestyle.
