One of our main research aims is to improve the detection of secondary breast cancer, since it has been proven that virtually all deaths from breast cancer are due to the secondary spread of the initial cancer to other parts of the body such as the lungs, liver and brain. We are currently looking for ladies who have had secondary spread of their breast cancer who would be willing to share their story with us.
These valuable stories are used for fundraising purposes for example in mailings, adverts, on our website and in the media. As you appreciate, the more money we are able to raise through our fundraising efforts, the more research we are able to undertake to improve the survival rates from this terrible disease.
