Your old mobile phone is more valuable than you think
Mobile phone companies are desperate to sell us their latest handsets. Each year in the UK alone between 10-15 million of us will replace their mobile phone. Have you ever considered what happens to our old and out of date phones? They either lie forgotten in a drawer or add to the millions dumped in landfill sites each year where the heavy metals used in manufacture cause harm to plants and wildlife.
Did you know that you can recycle your old phone and support our research without it costing you a penny?
We've partnered up with Reclaim-it to offer a service that does exactly that. Whether you're recycling individual handsets or working for an organisation looking to do so, we can provide you with the freepost envelopes or collection boxes that will generate funds for our research from your old handsets.
How it works
Getting involved couldn't be easier, simply email us or phone on 01235 534211 and we'll arrange for you to receive a freepost envelope or collection box. All you need to do is post your handset in the envelope or call for a free collection when your box is full, Reclaim-it will take care of the rest.
Reclaim-it are one of the largest companies in the UK dedicated to the safe collection of mobile phones, empty laser toner cartridges and ink jet cartridges for recycling and they are fully licensed by the Environment Agency as a Waste Carrier, you can visit the Reclaim-it website or if you have any questions about how Against Breast Cancer benefit we'd be happy to answer them, email Wendy or call her on 01235 534211.
