From the 26th April 2020, Against Breast Cancer has seen 22 supporters and counting take on the #TwoPointSixChallenge to help raise funds for Against Breast Cancer.
With the London Marathon 2020 postponed until the Autumn due to Covid-19, the organisers pulled together to launch a national campaign to help #SaveTheUKsCharities. With the challenge to take part in an activity around the numbers 2.6 and 26, supporters have taken on a range of challenges from planting 26 sunflowers 🌻 to cycling 26 miles 🚴. We have felt so lucky to have such dedicated supporters, that have still continued to fundraise and train despite many events being postponed.
Kate has been training hard throughout the year for the Great North Run 2020, and jumped on the opportunity to take part in the 2.6 challenge. Her motivation is infectious, taking on a 2.6 mile run, 13 mile cycle and 13 x 26 reps circuit to help raise funds for the Against Breast Cancer after sadly losing her aunty and mother to Breast Cancer. Raising over £300, she smashed her challenge! Kate you’re a star⭐
Three NHS Nurses 🌈 & One Metastatic Breast Cancer Patient Thriver 🎗️ all teamed up to make team ‘Charlies Angels’ after meeting on a dog walk at their local park! Becoming the best of friends, Kelly, Carolina and Maria wanted to spread positivity and joy to others whilst raising funds for a cause close to their hearts. So, they included there furry doggo friends and together they took on the 2.6 challenge, completing 26 squats holding their 26kg dogs! 🐶
Spreading so much awareness for our charity, we cannot thank these ladies enough for raising funds for research into secondary spread and a huge thank you for being such heroes through this pandemic #thankthenhs 👏They have smashed their target, raising £625 for Against Breast Cancer.
