Temporarily suspended

Working closely with our partners Recycling Clothes Company, Against Breast Cancer are actively monitoring the rapidly evolving coronavirus situation. We are following advice from the UK Government/Public Health England who advise that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus.

We know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water.

Our primary concern is protecting the health of our staff, those of our partner organisations and the public. This is being undertaken in line with preventative guidance from Public Health England.

The clothing collection bag teams are currently working in difficult conditions, we ask members of the public to please continue to treat them with courtesy and respect, these are challenging times for everybody. Your generous donations and their hard work generate the vital funds Against Breast Cancer require in order to continue our research into secondary spread, the main cause of breast cancer related deaths.

Nevertheless, the rapidly changing nature of the current situation demands these operations remain under continuous review. Suffice to say, there may be more changes in the days and weeks ahead.
