Buy my miles
It’s all about virtual fundraising!
Buy my Mile! For many people, there events such as the London Marathon have been pushed back or cancelled due to current circumstances. This is devasting, as I know the efforts you have put in to support our charity to help us in the fight against breast cancer. However, there are ways you can keep motivated through this period of isolation;
-
Make sure your Just Giving fundraising page is set-up! This where people will be able to sponsor you.
- Choose how you will complete your event. Whether that be on an exercise bike, cross-trainer, treadmill, laps of your garden or perhaps a mile for every circuit session/online fitness session you partake in? The best thing about virtual challenges is you can adapt it to your training needs! Why not share your progress with friends? We’ve created a page on Strava to help you to stay connected.
- Get posting that you are taking part in buy my mile virtual challenge & inform your social media audience, friends and family that it they donate to buy one of your miles, that they can name it after someone who has been affected by cancer.
- Once you have finished, let us know, we will send you a certificate of congratulations and huge thank you for supporting our charity, which you can share with everyone that has donated 😊

Why not blog your training and fundraising journey so far? This might be something you have been itching to do, but just haven’t had the chance right? Sharing videos, photos and stories is a great way to interact with your friends and family through this period of isolation and encourages people to donate to your fundraising page. Blogging is also a great way to capture your own journey! If you would like to share their story with us as to why they are supporting Against Breast Cancer, just email us!
