The Little Greene Paint Company has made a big commitment to help consign breast cancer to the past. And it's put us in the pink. The Little Greene Paint Company has built a strong reputation among the UK's discerning decorators for their unique palette and extensive range of wallpapers. Brave and contemporary or with a nod to the classics, The Little Greene Paint Company have it covered - literally. And it's their work in pink that's really hitting the spot.
Throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 2010, The Little Greene Paint Company made a special donation from every can of paint they sold. Customers using their website voted for their preferred cancer charity, from five major breast cancer charity partners, using a special landing page which was live from 1 October through to the end of November.
Specially labelled cans were sold via the internet and UK stockists throughout October, and Little Greene committed to giving 15p from the sale of every can of paint sold during the month - and along with their paint, their customers were able to choose which charity should benefit from Little Greene's donation.
So, whether their customers went for something from the English Heritage Collection, the Original Collection - a contemporary paint palette designed for modern living - or the Catwalk Collection, an iconic collection of contemporary paint colours from the world of haute couture, Against Breast Cancer stood a great chance of benefiting from Little Greene's largesse.
The links from the dedicated landing page lead directly to the charities' websites, giving the discerning decorator the opportunity to learn more about each charity's work and make an informed decision about where they want 'their' donation to go.
At the end of October, the money generated was calculated and shared out proportionately, according to the on-line voting. So, if you got along to the Little Greene Paint Company's website and chose an exciting new look for your home, you also had the chance to choose to vote for a future free from breast cancer.
