We would like to give a huge shoutout to Tim, Toni and everyone who took part in a charity football tournament which took place on the 8th June. This was in support of our new campaign Don’t Forget the Men, which highlighted the effects breast cancer has on men.
Thanks to the incredible energy, teamwork, and generosity of all the players and supporters, the event has raised an incredible £265 so far on their JustGiving page.
Tim said, “On Sunday 8th June, Wescot Credit Services Ltd organised a 5-a-side charity football tournament for its employees. Four teams participated, with other colleagues in attendance to support the event and cheer on the teams.
“It was a huge success with all 25 players enjoying the event. The winning team received a fantastic trophy, and awards were also given to the top scorer and best goalkeeper.
“But the most important thing is that the event raised over £250 for the charity Against Breast Cancer and raised awareness across the business of the impact of men’s breast cancer.
“Everyone who took part is looking forward to making this an annual event and has expressed interest in participating in the future.”
A HUGE thank you again to everyone at Wescot for supporting Against Breast Cancer and for your amazing donation!
Don’t Forget the Men ran across June to highlight the impact on men who have either had breast cancer themselves or been impacted by losing someone special to the disease. If you would like to hold your own fundraising event, request your free fundraising pack now to start planning.
