Take a break. Bring a bra. Make a difference

This October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month), we are excited to be launching a brand-new campaign, the Great British Bra Break. A light-hearted yet impactful initiative encouraging people to take a short break from their day, come together with colleagues, and donate their unwanted bras to support vital breast cancer research.

How your business can get involved:

Host a Bra Break with your team – even just 15–30 minutes. Encourage staff to bring along and donate their pre-loved bras, enjoy a slice of cake and a chance to connect whilst helping to raise awareness by sharing your support.

How to donate

To make your donation, simply visit our bra recycling page where you can view a map to help locate your nearest bra bank. If getting to your nearest bra bank is impossible, please email claire@againstbreastcancer.org.uk to discuss options. If hosting a Great British Bra Break is not for your but your organisation would like to support us, please share our Great British Bra Break Just Giving page so that people can make a monetary donation.

Why get involved?

Our goal is to raise £5,000 to fund vital research into secondary breast cancer – the stage of the disease that claims the most lives

Bring your team together – the Great British Bra Break offers a valuable opportunity for colleagues to connect. Take a break from their busy day and support a cause that touches so many lives.

Every pound raised and every bra donated will make a difference.

All bras collected are recycled, helping to fund life-saving research while also supporting environmental sustainability. Against Breast Cancer get £700 for every tonne of bras you help us recycle.

What’s in it for your business

  • A great excuse to come together with friends and colleagues
  • Free promotional materials and fundraising support
  • A chance to fulfil your CSR goals and support a great cause

Why stop in October?

If you think that your workplace might like to take a bra bank on an ongoing basis you can order one on our bra recycling page.

The delivery of the bra bank and collection of bras is a free service. To maintain this we ask our supporters to confirm that they can fill at least four bra bank liners for each collection. Each liner holds approximately 100 bras, so you would need to be able to collect at least 400 bras. You would need to be able to keep the bank on an ongoing basis.
