On Sunday 14th June 2026 over 230 walkers arrived at IBM Hursley for their chosen walking challenge for life-saving research. The Breast Walk Ever Hampshire was back with its biggest ever field of participants. There was also a brand-new route for people to enjoy with a 12K “out & back” option replacing the traditional 10K loop.
With the event into its 4th year, Breast Walk Ever Hampshire is fast becoming a fixture in the local events calendar. There was something a little extra special to welcome walkers to the event village. Participants this year were treated to the stunning backdrop of Hursley House. A simply idyllic location for the event village.
The first walkers left at 8am on the marathon route that, back this year following a break in 2025. Walkers started to drift back onto the Lawn of Hursley House from midday until the event wrapped up around 1930. Finishers were welcomed back with a glass of prosecco, a complimentary massage and plenty of cake.
Richard Martin, Head of Fundraising at Against Breast Cancer, was delighted with how everything came together:
“It was another fantastic event. Great to see so many youngsters and families take on the 12K this year. Massive thanks go to Amoena as headline sponsors for the event. They ensured that as much of the funds generated go towards our research. Huge appreciation too for Team EP for delivering three wonderful routes despite various challenges faced in the lead up to the event. To our team of wonderful volunteers and our walkers; thanks for making Breast Walk Ever Hampshire 2026 such a wonderful day to be a part of”
Our event participants have raised nearly £30,000 thus far, with funds still coming in.
Against Breast Cancer’s Breast Walk Ever events have been going since 2014. Walkers have raised nearly £400,000 in that time towards research into secondary spread breast cancer, a lot of which takes place at the University of Southampton.
