Publicity is more often than not free. For example, talk to your friends and colleagues and let them know what you’re planning, and why. In turn, your passion and commitment will shine through.
In addition, use social networks
Post your event online and tell people what inspired you to do it. By doing so, you can start a conversation. At the same time, encourage friends and family to share your event to help reach a wider audience.
Finally, get local press involved
Invite local press to attend and take photos on the day. Where appropriate, we may be able to feature some images on our website. However, please remember that you must ask permission from a parent or guardian before taking any photos of children, and they must also give permission for any images used for publicity.
