Don’t be shy

When getting sponsored start with your existing network. Friends, family, and colleagues may work for, or have connections with, local businesses and organisations that are keen to raise their profile through community involvement. A personal introduction can make a powerful first impression and significantly increase your chances of securing sponsorship.

You could also approach businesses and establishments you already support as a customer. Local shops, gyms, cafés, and service providers are often happy to sponsor charitable causes, especially when there’s an established relationship. Be confident and ready to explain who our charity is, what we do, and how their support will make a difference.

Finally, always remember to thank your sponsors and supporters. Let them know how much you raised and the impact their contribution has had. When supporters feel valued and appreciated, they are far more likely to get involved again in future charity fundraising events.

Paying in the funds you have raised

All that’s left to do now is send us the money you have raised for our vital research.

If you have not been in touch with one of our team at the charity before raising funds please do get in touch with us to let us know about the fantastic fundraising you have achieved and we can advise you on how to pay this into us. We have multiple options including:

• Use the ‘Donate‘ page on this site, but don’t forget to tell us how the funds were raised in the ‘comments’ box.
• Pay your donations/sponsorship over the phone, call us on 01235 534211 and we’ll take care of everything.
