On Sunday 6th September, Team ABC joined thousands of runners on the streets of London for The Big Half 2026, taking on the iconic 13.1-mile route from Tower Bridge to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. Known for its inclusive atmosphere and celebration of London’s diverse communities, The Big Half once again brought together runners of all abilities for a truly special day.
For our runners, the challenge was about much more than completing a half marathon. Every mile was powered by personal stories, determination, and a shared commitment to supporting Against Breast Cancer’s vital research.

Reflecting on her experience, Peace said:
“Running the London Big Half was an incredible milestone, but the true victory belongs to my brave friend Claire Morgans. I took on those 13.1 miles for Against Breast Cancer to show her she is never alone in this fight. Claire’s treatment is moving in the right direction, and that was the ultimate fuel for every step of the way. I am profoundly grateful for the strength to finish, all my work colleagues’ and friends’ support, and the hope we are building together for a future free from cancer.”
Peace’s story perfectly captures the spirit of Team ABC. Behind every runner is a reason to make a difference, whether that’s supporting a loved one, honouring someone they’ve lost, celebrating survivorship, or helping create a future free from breast cancer.
Throughout the course, runners were met with incredible support from spectators, community cheer zones, live music and fellow participants. The atmosphere helped carry runners through the challenges of the day and reminded everyone that they were part of something bigger than themselves.
The Big Half 2026 welcomed more than 18,000 participants and we are incredibly grateful to every member of Team ABC who raised an amazing £9,260 to help fund pioneering breast cancer research and bring us closer to a future where secondary breast cancer can be prevented. Congratulations, Team ABC. You should all be immensely proud of what you’ve achieved.
To everyone who ran, donated, cheered from the sidelines, or supported our runners from afar, thank you. Your support makes a real difference.
