India – Cycle Kerala is a fantastic challenge, discovering South India’s most serene and beautiful state.
Your challenge starts in Thattekad, before journeying through dense forests, tea plantations and ascend up to Munnar – surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. You’ll witness the world famous arch dam of Idukki, before beginning your descent.
Crossing Vembanad Lake by houseboat, you will continue on to your destination of Marari, where you will enjoy a celebratory meal! Then have a free day to relax and enjoy miles of golden sand at Marari Beach or visit the historic city Fort Cochin. This fantastic cycle challenge rewards tough climbs with the most spectacular scenery.
India – Cycle Kerala Itinerary
After flying out from the UK and transferring to your hotel, your challenge will start in Thattekad. You will cycle alongside the Periyar river and through the forests of Neriamanagalam before arriving in Munnar. The following day, you will cycle through the Lockhart gap, overlooking the spectacular Bison Valley, en route to Thekkady.
The day after sees you ascend through spice plantations towards the arch dam of Idukki and crossing the beautiful Kulamavu dam.The final two days of downhill cycle will take you to the tranquil backwaters of Kumarakom and across the scenic Vembanad to your final destination of Marai, where you will have a free day to explore and look back on you achievement before heading home.
