Following the incredible success of Paint Abingdon Pink earlier this year, which brought our wonderful community together in support of Against Breast Cancer, we’re excited to invite you to a brand-new festive event.
Christmas Carols in the Market Place
Abingdon Market Place
Saturday 20 December
4:30 PM – 6:30 PM
The event promises something for everyone, whether you’re a fan of festive music or simply looking to soak up the seasonal atmosphere. At the heart of the evening there will be a live performance by the Abingdon Rock Choir, led by Oxford-based musician Krisha Kaye. Known for their uplifting harmonies and impressive accolades, including multiple Guinness World Records and the Red Ribbon ‘Big Heart’ Award, the choir is sure to bring joy to all who attend.
Guests can enjoy mince pies and warming mulled wine, generously donated by Waitrose in Wallingford, Budgens at Peachcroft, and the Co-op in Berinsfield. These festive treats will be available to purchase all evening.
A poignant addition to the evening is the Against Breast Cancer Memory Tree, where attendees can write personal messages on wooden decorations in remembrance of loved ones and hang them on the tree, a touching way to honour those missed during the holiday season.
For those looking to add a little sparkle to their Christmas shopping, the event will also feature items for sale such as festive cards and handmade baubles, perfect for gifts or keepsakes. Items are also available online via the Against Breast Cancer shop.
Whether you love to sing or simply want to soak up the festive atmosphere with a mince pie in hand, this event is the perfect way to start your Christmas celebrations
Bring your family, friends, and neighbours and let’s get Abingdon into the Christmas spirit and make this an afternoon/evening to remember, whilst supporting Against Breast Cancer and raising funds for our vital research into secondary breast cancer.
